Our Challenges: Earn Your Alpine Bragging Rights

There are two legendary challenges you can conquer during your Ski Peak holiday - and trust us, they’re worth boasting about. Complete either one, and you’ll earn serious respect from fellow skiers and après-ski companions alike. You won’t just be a guest, you’ll be a sporting icon and an alpine conqueror!

Ready to rise to the occasion? The mountains are calling.

The Champagne Run: A Descent Worth Toasting

Welcome to the greatest on-piste vertical descent linked to a lift system in the world - the legendary Champagne Run (3300m to 1100m).

Fancy a challenge? This is one of the biggest and best on snow. Start in Vaujany and ascend to Pic Blanc at 3300m, reachable in as little as 45 minutes. From there, begin an epic descent down the world-renowned Tunnel piste, continuing through Les Rousses and La Fare. This thrilling combination of black and red runs drops over 2,200 metres without a single lift... just pure, uninterrupted skiing.

Completing it is a true badge of honour. And once you’ve conquered it, the celebrations begin back at your chalet - with a well-earned bottle of champagne to mark the feat.

The 8000m Challenge: Ski Everest with Ski Peak

Everest may stand at nearly 9000m, but we’re offering something not far off—and entirely unique. Are you up for it?

For many, this is the reason to come to Vaujany with Ski Peak: the chance to conquer an extraordinary feat on skis—

A Total Vertical Drop of 8000m

Earn serious bragging rights by completing four epic descents, each dropping nearly 2000m—without taking a single lift:

  1. Le Pic Blanc (3330m) to La Villette (1295m)
  2. Le Pic Blanc (3330m) to L’Enversin d’Oz (1125m)
  3. Le Pic Blanc (3330m) to Oz en Oisans (1350m)
  4. Le Pic Blanc (3330m) to Gorges de Sarenne (1510m)

Once considered impossible, this challenge has been officially recognised since 2009/10. To authenticate your achievement, simply have your piste map validated by lift staff at the start of the Pic Blanc cable car and at the end of each descent.

For just 1 euro, your accomplishment will be recorded by Piste Services and you’ll receive a commemorative diploma. Even better - your donation supports À Chacun Son Everest, a charity founded by Dr. Christine Janin that helps children facing challenges reach their own personal summits.

So yes, in more ways than one… You’re Skiing Everest - with Ski Peak.
